Apart from a lot of creative fun, you will receive instruction in a variety of techniques that will allow you to alter and decorate your own professionally thrown leather hard mug. You may carve, paint, apply a molded appliqué, or add texture with a technique called slip trailing. You will learn how to make and attach your own handle too. Once you are finished, I will bring all the mugs back to my studio where I carefully dry the mugs, bisque fire them, glaze and glazed fire them and finally I will sand the bottoms of your mug to a smooth finish. I will return the mugs to the host of the party for return to each participant.
