I create one-of-a-kind stoneware and porcelain bowls made to hold your placenta during birth — and to be treasured long after. Each bowl is food-safe with a fully glazed interior, ready for everyday use or to be displayed as a meaningful keepsake — the choice is entirely yours.
A few things to know before you order:
My turnaround is two months — pottery is a slow, intentional process and each bowl is customized to your preferences.
Each bowl is handmade from stoneware or porcelain — both durable, food-safe clays with a fully glazed interior.
Your input will help inform the bowl you receive. Colors of glazes you like and don't like. Do you like rustic raw clay on the exterior, or, do you prefer the entire piece is glazed? I often use botanical designs, carving, and slip trailing in my work. Do you like detail or are you a minimalist? As a mother and grandmother, I desire to make something that will be special to you and honor your journey into motherhood, the highest of callings.
